I have worked in the non-profit sector for over 20 years. My last 10 years have been primarily focused on navigating RI Medicaid and commercial health insurance. Due to the rapid expansion and complexity, it is increasingly difficult for patients to navigate health insurance. The role of health insurance Navigators can help decrease health disparities. I work for the Rhode Island Health Center Association because I know I am part of the vision that every Rhode Islander has equal access to affordable, high-quality, culturally sensitive, comprehensive health care that recognizes and responds to the needs of a diverse population. I am proud to know that for many patients that begins with me!
