Amy is the Founder and Principal at Zimm consulting, serving as a subject matter expert and consultant on state, federal and community health IT and data aggregation initiatives. Over the past 4 years, Amy assists clients with planning, policy, governance, implementation and funding focused on cross sector data sharing, public health, health information exchange, social care information exchange, and more. Amy also provides technical assistance to states and facilitates several Health IT Learning Communities. Clients have included the CDC, the CDC foundation, the state of Georgia, New England States Consortium Systems Organization (NESCSO), Civitas Networks for Health and the Rhode Island Health Center Association among others. Prior to consulting, Amy worked for over thirty years for the State of Rhode Island. She served as RI’s State’s Health IT Coordinator for 10 years at RI’s Executive Office of Health and Human Services. Prior to that she served in several senior leadership roles at the RI Department of Health including the Chief, Office of Health Information Technology. Amy holds a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
