Health Center Facts

In 2009, Rhode Island Community health centers served approximately 120,000 residents in Rhode Island. In addition, community health centers provided over 500,000 patient visits.

The Rhode Island Health Center Association works to support, sustain, and strengthen community health centers so they can provide high-quality, comprehensive health care. Rhode Island’s ten community health centers provide comprehensive preventive and primary care services, including dental services, to over 120,000 Rhode Islanders at 27 locations across the state.

Family Resource Counselors

If you have a family with children under the age of 19 or are pregnant, there are RIte Care application assistants, called Family Resource Counselors, available at the health centers and other locations throughout the state who can assist you with your RIte Care application.
